ROSE IX - a redish sleevless kimono

ROSE X

A silk sleeveless kimono vest made from Eri silk weft and cotton warp.

Small details in fine silk and Muka (traditional fiber used by the Maori).

Varying weave structures create a rhythm throughout the textile

The neckline and hem are finshed by hand.

The ties are cotton tape.

All pieces are hand woven by Christopher Duncan. They are unique and have there own personal stories, signatures and figures layed in during the weaving process.
