Born in 1986, majored in Sculpture at Tama Art University.
In the process of studying sculptural materials the waxed-cotton bag was born.

The waxed canvas bag was inspired by the humble paper bag made from kraft paper. Kazumi Takigawa's aim was to recreate the texture and charm of paper bags using durable materials.
The base material is a sturdy canvas, naturally dyed using discarded materials such as coffee grounds and tea leaves - an original concept born from a sustainable mindset.
By applying two different types of wax, the bags gain both structure and flexibility, gradually developing a rich patina over time. Much like leather, they grow more beautiful with age, making them pieces to be cherished for years.
