Based in Tokyo, the brothers Sotaro & Ryo Ogino launched the shoe collection named PETROSOLAUM for the autumn-winter 2012-2013 season. Their aim is to produce original and timeless shoes, integrating both functionality and art into products at a high level. The shoes are made by inherited traditional techniques and craftsmen to make use of the character and unique features of the materials to the highest degree.

Jan-Jan Van Essche started an ongoing collaborating with the brothers of Petrosolaum since the autumn-winter 2018-2019 season, so far resulting in a successful series of well crafted boots, derbies, babouches and sneakers, each matching the Jan-Jan Van Essche silhouette.
