2027 ancient hanji paper moon calendar

2027 calendar by somafolk.
A letterpress series of Korean paper hanji made from six different hanji workshops in Jeonju.
Since ancient times, Jeonju has been the center of mulberry bark production and hanji paper making. Hanji is made from the inner bark of the paper mulberry tree (broussonetia papyrifera) mixed with hibiscus root and boiled in alkaline lye, giving strength and longer life to the paper. Traditionally, the hanji makers use the single-tray-scooping method of a rectangular tray hung from a cross bar above it to lift up the wet sheet. One whole sheet is made from overlapping two sheets to further enhance the sturdiness and durability of hanji.
There is an old saying: Silk lasts for 500 years, whereas hanji survives for 1000 years.
