BAG#25 - KAKISHIBU x IRON HEMP COTTON BAMBOO TWILL by Jan-Jan Van Essche from PROJECT#14 - SOIL (AW26).

SHOULDER BAG WITH ADJUSTABLE SHOULDER STRAP AND RIBBONS FOR CLOSURE.

This piece is part of the first 'SOIL' capsule collection, with an extra focus on craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-finished and contains a hand-drawn tag by Jan-Jan Van Essche.

A STRONG DENIM WITH A PROMINENT TWILL STRUCTURE. THE KAKISHIBU x IRON COLOUR IS ACHIEVED BY DYEING IN KAKISHIBU AND OVER-DYEING WITH AN IRON MORDANT TO PRODUCE A GREY WITH SOFT PINK UNDERTONES. WITH NATURAL STREAKS AND SLIGHTLY BRITTLE HAND FROM THE DYE PROCESSING, THE GARMENTS HAVE AN INVITING TACTILE DEPTH.

This garment has been dyed using natural dyes and is individually hand-dyed by skilled artisans. As a result each piece is truly unique, vibrant with natural variations in colour, texture and finish that reflect the artisinal process.
