Black hand silk khadi Dress Shirt

Dress shirt by Mark.S in black hand-loomed silk khadi cotton with chinstrap for utility and wind protection, patch chest pocket, split on the sides, adjustable sleeve cuffs and gathering on the cuffs and on the back.
The design is inspired by the classic chinstrap workwear styles of the pre-1940s era.

Hand-spun and hand-woven in India.
The construction features a pure cotton warp and a hand-spun silk-blend weft. Using a manual loom allows for low-twist yarns̶fibers so delicate and soft they would snap on a high-speed industrial machine.
As you wear it, the fabric lives and breathes with you, conforming to your body for a personalized fit. The inherent "loft" or airiness of the hand-spun yarn traps heat, resulting in a material with extraordinary thermal insulation despite its light feel.
The presence of yarn irregularities, textural slubs, and organic knots (nepping) are the signature marks of the human hand and the soul of this hand-loomed material.
